Vellex Secures Major Wins at InnoVEX 2026 and Officially Receives ICTGC Award

TAIPEI, TAIWAN JUNE 9, 2026 - Vellex Computing has successfully concluded an extraordinary week at InnoVEX 2026 in Taipei. Immersed in the unmatched energy of Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem and sharing the event with global industry leaders and top officials, Vellex secured major milestones on the international stage.

First, Vellex officially received the prestigious IC Taiwan Grand Challenge (ICTGC) award. Initiated by the Taiwan government and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the program selected Vellex as one of only 11 winners out of 209 global startups from 38 countries. The Vellex team had the honor of taking the main stage to share their vision for ultra-low-power AI training and officially accept the award.

Additionally, Vellex Computing was a standout in the flagship InnoVEX 2026 Pitch Contest. Selected from a highly competitive pool of over 180 applicants across 22 countries, Vellex emerged as one of just 15 finalists (an 8.3% acceptance rate) and was one of only two IC startups to compete.

Out of this highly competitive group of 15 finalists, Vellex took home the Plug and Play Taiwan Award and its $5,000 USD prize, standing out among top innovators across the software, medical, and materials fields.

At Vellex, our mission is to empower the next generation of AI by making on-device AI training faster and cheaper than the cloud using our patented, physics-based Analog Intelligence. It completes on-device training in milliseconds instead of hours, all while consuming significantly ultra-low power.

"These wins have given us incredible momentum as we build something truly amazing, and this is just the beginning," the company stated. Vellex Computing extends its gratitude to the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the Taipei Computer Association (TCA), and Plug and Play Taiwan for organizing such a phenomenal event. Overall, InnoVEX 2026 was a resounding success. The team had the opportunity to connect with innovative startups from across the globe, including a strong presence of peers from Japan. Furthermore, engaging with top industry leaders provided invaluable guidance on our technology and helped lay the groundwork for establishing Vellex's roots in Taiwan. During the event, numerous researchers expressed immense interest in Vellex's analog compute method, noting that achieving ultra-low power AI training in mere milliseconds is a groundbreaking achievement poised to revolutionize the global tech landscape.
